This is an invitation to experience LA’s true wild beauty in the most personalized way possible and with the unique insight of a multi-generational LA local who has a lifetime of experience exploring and working to conserve California's native ecosystems from Malibu to Northern California. 

Our guide Andy grew up in Malibu Canyon and has a passion for connecting with fellow LA explorers while sharing the vibrant stories of California's native wildlife, plants, and people that bring this landscape to life. Additionally, he has worked for California natural resource conservation agencies, has a degree in Wildlife Conservation & Management, loves to share naturalist knowledge, and is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

We are happy to create a special custom tour for you. Please ask us about any time/date you want and we are happy to make one specially for you. Flexibility is our goal to show you exactly what you want.

Where will we go?

We offer hikes in many locations to provide the most convenient options for you. Hiking trail locations range from the Pacific Palisades / Santa Monica, Malibu, and the more wild, rugged side of the Santa Monica Mountains in far western Malibu / Ventura County. Based on our local knowledge, we always offer our best recommendation for the most unique opportunities possible at whatever time you are visiting. Our meeting place will be set to make things convenient and provide an opportunity to use restrooms and get last minute necessities.

Transportation

You must provide your own transportation to our hike. After booking we will contact you to share meeting location details and our specific guided hike itinerary for the day. We are happy to help you make transportation arrangements if you don't have a car.

What will you need?

We offer water and energy boosting nut/fruit snacks to all of our hiking guests (please bring additional food depending on your needs). We require that you please wear closed-toe shoes that are appropriate for walking on uneven terrain (no sandals or loose-fitting footwear-for your safety!). We recommend wearing long pants, a hat, and bringing a light jacket or long sleeve layer to be prepared for changing weather conditions.
